Outer Radiance - Inner Joy, 2026, 2'x3', needle felting, improvisational embroidery, weaving, hand sewing, knotting, on wood base.

This piece has taken four years to complete. I began working on it in 2021. Fiber art can be very complex and one always thinks of more to do to it. I finally feel as though I finished it, just days before this exhibition. I did a great deal more to the fringe and the hood's midseam, and finished the embroidered words on the inside.

Seeing Red

The Art Club of McKinney held its annual member exhibition on Friday and Saturday, March 27th and 28th at the Collin County History Museum. With nearly 100 entries and 50 participating artists, the show was highly successful.

Above, February 2025, Art Meets Poetry Exhibition, McKinney, Texas. My 20x24 floral oil painting is on the bottom of the top right photo. I had broken my knee one month before this photo, so I am in pain while trying to stand for the photo! You can also see a floral painting In the distance behind me that Is mine. The painting that I am standing by was my entry as an artist, and a poetry society poet wrote a poem to go with my painting. The painting hanging behind me was my painting representing the four seasons, the solstice, and equinox that I made to depict a specific poem of a poet. who enteired their poem In the competition.
